Our Core Values
Servant Leadership: The Bible always mentions elders in plural when referring to the leadership of the local church. We believe that by His example and teachings the Lord Jesus calls believers to exercise leadership and authority characterized by humility, selflessness and grace in love and service. (Mark 10:37, 44-45, Acts 14:23, Timothy 1:5 and James 5:14)
Integrity: We are called to speak the truth in love and live righteous holy lives, promoting justice and mercy by the grace of God and in the power of the Holy Spirit. Each person has a unique spiritual identity given by God. We want to help them develop mature relationships and discover their distinctive mix of gifts and talents.
Covenant Relationships: All those who are in Christ are of one body, His church. We are called to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace; loving each other and working together for the glory and honor of God. Our covenant relationship with Him brings us into covenant with His Body. We seek to develop warm and intimate relationships as true brothers and sisters in Christ, believing and speaking the best of one another, maintaining an atmosphere of honor, mutual respect, open communication and cooperation. Thus the world will know we are His disciples by the love we have for each other. We are called to be His witnesses and bring God’s love from our church to the world. (John 3:16, 15:13-15, 1Corintians 13:4-7, 1John 3:16, Ephesians 4:1-6, Juan 13:35)
The Presence of God We are called to serve God and one another in the love and power of the Holy Spirit, not through obligation or mere human effort. We do not use manipulation and pressure tactics to motivate people. Instead, we seek to influence and inspire allowing each person to hear and obey the voice of the Lord. We seek to cultivate and be sensitive to His presence and direction in all we do, especially during our times of public worship while being culturally current without being artificial or extravagant. We hope that people of all races and every social class will feel welcome and honored among us. (2 Cor. 3:17, John 15:5, Philippians 4:4, Acts 2:46)
